Its the first week of December, and its officially the holiday season! We have been spending all of our time decorating for Christmas, baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, and preparing Sophie and Ava to perform in their first Nutcracker ballet. I have so many wonderful memories of performing in the Nutcracker when I was growing up, that I may be more excited about this than they are. Watching Sophie and Ava backstage with their friends reminds me of the countless hours that I spent backstage at shows, having fun with a group of girls that would become lifelong friends. I am so grateful for those friendships and those memories, and I hope Sophie and Ava enjoy it as much as I did. So, we have two full weekends of performances, and then we will be squeezing in as much holiday fun as we can before Christmas!
Here are a few links for things we are loving this month:
No. 1 The National Museum of Women in the Arts is showing an exhibit that includes the costume from Black Swan. The Rodarte exhibit runs through the beginning of February. {NMWA}
No. 2 I would love to take Sophie and Ava to The Kennedy Center to see The Nutcracker when they are a little older. {The Kennedy Center}
No. 3 There is a holiday themed pop up bar in DC this year. I am waiting to go until my bestie is in town so we can sip champagne together! {Pop Up Bar DC}
No. 5 I know I am late to this book, but I am currently reading You Are a BadAss by Jen Sincero and I really like it.
No. 6 I’m already thinking about my New Years Eve outfit, and I am loving this dress. {Zara}
No. 7 I REALLY want these earrings to add some sparkly to simple outfits during the holidays. {J. Crew}
No. 8 Anthropologie always has the best tree ornaments. I currently have these sitting in my shopping cart. {Anthropologie}
No. 9 My sweet niece has become interested in fashion, and has been designing and sewing skirts for herself and all of her friends. How cute is that? I found this really cute fashion sketch book that I wasn’t to get her for Christmas. {Amazon}
No. 10 Last year I watched the whole first season of Marvelous Mrs. Maiselwhile wrapping gifts. The new season comes out today, so I plan to do the same thing this year.
