An Early Spring Hike and a Local Lighthouse

A FEW WEEKS AGO we went for a day trip with my parents to Elk Neck State Park. The park has a walking trail that ends at Turkey Point Lighthouse, which is at the very top of the Chesapeake Bay so it was very peaceful and the views were beautiful. The weather was nice, not too hot, and the trail was an easy walk for the kids and my parents. We packed a picnic lunch and there were picnic tables along the trail to sit at to eat. When you reach the lighthouse there are benches to sit on to enjoy the view and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around after each other.
