Holiday Scenes and a Few Things We Love
It’s mid-December, and the holidays are just around the corner. I wanted share some holiday inspiration, and a little of what we will be up to this month.
No. 1 Every year my parents come over on a Saturday in December and spend the day making cookies with the kids. My favorite cookies are my Grandmother’s lemon cookies, I remember her having them at her house every year during the holidays. They are so easy to make, and they are so soft and chewy. This recipe is very similar to the ones my Grandmother used to make. { Somewhat Simple }
No. 2 We have a movie night at our house at least once a weekend. Recently, the kids have really enjoyed watching older classic movies, so for one of our movie nights leading up to Christmas I think we will watch White Christmas. { Amazon }
No. 3 One of my favorite things about this time of year is seeing Christmas lights everywhere. I think it makes everything look a little magical. If you are local, my favorite lights are on 34th Street in Baltimore. { 34th Street }
No. 4 I am looking forward to binge watcing a few shows while I am up late wrapping gifts. Currently on my list are The Crown and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. { The Crown, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel }
No. 5 The girls will be home with me all week between Christmas and New Years, so I have been looking for some activities to do together. The Sackler Gallery is currently showing the Subodh Gupta: Terminal installation, and I think the girls will enjoy it. { Sackler Gallery }

When attending parties during the holiday season, I like to bring the hostess a little something. Many times I will bring a nice bouquet of holiday florals, but I here are a few other options.
No. 9 Everyone loves the scent of the holidays, so a small scented candle is the perfect holiday hostess gift. These little candles are beautiful, and when the candle is gone the candle holder can be used on your vanity to store little odds and ends. { Nordstrom }
